We produce locally, with efficient technology. This is how we reduce CO2 emissions, waste and our energy consumption.

Recycle
We are constantly adding sustainable products and services to our ordering environment. Recyclability is our starting point.

Resolve
We implement eco-friendly and ethical solutions throughout the supply chain and inspire partners to do the same.
Steps towards more sustainable print journeys

“Print.com is committed to a socially responsible and sustainable future. With that, influencing our frequent flyers to make a positive impact on the world.”

How packaging waste is reduced
To eliminate packaging waste and ensure the products you order through Print.com are optimally protected, our partners use on-demand, non-bleached packaging. If necessary, our print partners use recycled filling material.

Frequently asked questions about sustainability
The great majority of our paper comes from the EU. These are certified papers, made from trees from forests established for paper production. These forests are sustainably felled to maintain the tree stock.
At the same time, we realise that certification does not guarantee a sustainable product and that sustainable logging is a complex issue that requires a coordinated approach between the paper industry, environmental protection, local communities and governments.
Recycled paper is the most sustainable. At Print.com, you will find recycled paper from Paperwise®, RecyStar®, Rebello®, Muskat® Brun and BalancePure®, among others.
Recycled paper is more sustainable than ‘virgin paper’: in the manufacture of pulp used for new paper, chemicals are used to break down wood fibres, or to bleach the paper. A lot of water is also used in making virgin paper.
There is a limit to how many times you can recycle paper. The structure and strength of paper come from wood fibres, and with each recycling, those fibres become weaker. This is why recycled paper is often mixed with new paper.
Moreover, recycled paper often does not have the desired whiteness. This is another reason why new paper is often mixed with used paper in the production process.
It depends on the print run you choose. In general, digital printing is more sustainable than offset for smaller print runs. Offset printing starts by preparing metal plates, releasing ink and chemicals; digital printing generates no waste at start-up.
At our print partner Print.com Productions in Westerbroek, we print on a Koenig & Bauer Rapida 106-8 LED UV offset press. The LED technology in this press ensures increased energy efficiency.
For digital printing, we use HP Indigo 100k and 15k printers. These machines are energy and paper efficient and use ElectroInk: an ink designed for recycling and waste reduction.
At Print.com, you choose your preferred delivery service. Have you chosen DHL? DHL sends packages climate-neutral under the name DHL GoGreen. This means that DHL compensates for every cubic metre of CO2 emitted during transport.
Of course! However, it is important that the print orders are all at the same location. If this is the case, you will automatically see this option in your shopping basket, including what you save.
Yes, since 2025 we use 100% green energy in our offices and production sites and we have a total of 6 130 solar panels supporting our energy supply.
